What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences below. We prepare to evaluate the new version quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is fundamentally durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may show handy if you’re not exactly sure what you choose or if your requirements alter in time. This is not a traditionally soft bed mattress, but it provides a flexible cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness. Given its natural resilience, the Zenhaven must work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. However we do understand that the business utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (rather than fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spine support”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
