What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva concentrates on direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under 3 brand: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Between these three brands, the company offers numerous mattress designs, consisting of the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Perfect for: Individuals with more specific firmness choices Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples searching for a combination of pressure relief and bounce A lot of online bed mattress are hybrids or foams, so the Saatva Classic sticks out. It is among the few innerspring bed mattress you can conveniently purchase online. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a good amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top adds softness. Also, just like all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva also offers a generous 180-day trial period and simple returns.
Factors to consider: What Is The Best Saatva Mattress
The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some movement, reducing how much movement is felt across the surface of the bed. Sleepers might still experience some motion transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up throughout the night due to the mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva absorbs somewhat more motion than the Luxury Firm and Company alternatives. While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving potential, the amount of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Plush Soft variation of the mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Company variation.
Keep in mind: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions below. We prepare to check the brand-new variation soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might show useful if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a conventionally soft bed mattress, but it offers a flexible cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own house. These bed mattress were also evaluated in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of professionals in the bed mattress market and in materials science; checked out lots of mattress display rooms, shops, and factories; and pored over the fine print on specifications, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for a number of weeks.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spinal column assistance”; we’re less pleased with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and long lasting foams and coils.
