We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. But we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (rather than fiberglass or chemicals) and just natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less pleased with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
