What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

Note: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences listed below. We plan to evaluate the brand-new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which might prove handy if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs change over time. We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. However we do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (rather than fiberglass or chemicals) and only organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva promotes such extras as zoned layers for “optimum spinal column support”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and durable foams and coils.
