What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva focuses on direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. In between these three brand names, the business offers several mattress designs, including the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Suitable for: Individuals with more specific firmness choices Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples trying to find a combination of pressure relief and bounce The majority of online mattresses are hybrids or foams, so the Saatva Classic sticks out. It is among the few innerspring mattresses you can easily purchase online. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. Likewise, as with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva likewise uses a generous 180-day trial period and simple returns.

Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences below. We prepare to evaluate the brand-new variation soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is fundamentally durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might prove helpful if you’re unsure what you prefer or if your needs change gradually. This is not a traditionally soft bed mattress, but it uses a supple cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness. Offered its innate toughness, the Zenhaven ought to work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for several weeks in my own home. These bed mattress were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of experts in the bed mattress market and in products science; gone to lots of bed mattress factories, shops, and display rooms; and read the fine print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for several weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and just natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva promotes such extras as zoned layers for “optimum spine support”; we’re less pleased with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
