What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Considerations: Sleepezee Jessica Mattress Reviews
The Saatva’s comfort system uses thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill absorb some motion, reducing how much movement is felt throughout the surface area of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some movement transfer when their partner changes position or gets up throughout the night due to the mattress’s two layers of springs.
Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva soaks up slightly more movement than the High-end Firm and Firm choices.
While all of the Saatva firmness choices have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that a private experiences on the bed mattress will vary based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Plush Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and support from the Company variation.
Keep in mind: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences below. We plan to test the new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is fundamentally long lasting. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may show practical if you’re not exactly sure what you choose or if your requirements change with time. This is not a traditionally cushy bed mattress, however it uses a supple cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness. Provided its natural sturdiness, the Zenhaven should work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own home. These bed mattress were likewise evaluated in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of professionals in the bed mattress industry and in products science; checked out dozens of mattress factories, showrooms, and shops; and pored over the small print on specs, warranties, and return policies. Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for several weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. However we do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (rather than fiberglass or chemicals) and only organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spinal column support”; we’re less impressed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and long lasting foams and coils.
