What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic a good quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Factors to consider: Serta Soothing Cool Mattress Topper Review
The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some motion, minimizing how much motion is felt across the surface area of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some movement transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up throughout the night due to the bed mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva absorbs somewhat more movement than the High-end Firm and Firm alternatives.
While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving potential, the amount of pressure relief that a specific experiences on the mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Plush Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Firm variation.
Keep in mind: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences listed below. We plan to test the brand-new version soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is intrinsically durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which may prove helpful if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs change gradually. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, however it offers a supple cushion, good edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Provided its innate sturdiness, the Zenhaven needs to work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for several weeks in my own house. These bed mattress were likewise examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I have actually spoken with scores of professionals in the mattress market and in materials science; gone to lots of bed mattress showrooms, factories, and stores; and pored over the fine print on specifications, warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley assessed the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for numerous weeks.

Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. We do know that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (rather of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “ideal spine support”; we’re less amazed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and resilient foams and coils.
