What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill soak up some motion, minimizing how much motion is felt throughout the surface area of the bed. Sleepers might still experience some motion transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up throughout the night due to the bed mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva takes in a little more motion than the High-end Firm and Company options.
While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the mattress will vary based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Luxurious Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Company version.
Note: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences below. We plan to check the new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is intrinsically long lasting. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which may show helpful if you’re uncertain what you prefer or if your requirements alter gradually. This is not a conventionally cushy bed mattress, but it uses a supple cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness. Provided its natural toughness, the Zenhaven must work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These bed mattress were likewise evaluated in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve interviewed scores of specialists in the mattress industry and in products science; visited dozens of mattress stores, showrooms, and factories; and pored over the fine print on specifications, service warranties, and return policies.

Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).

Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brand names. But we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (instead of fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimum spinal column assistance”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
