What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a good quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.
Factors to consider: Saatva Split King Adjustable Base
Individuals who are easily woken up when their partner stirs may discover the Saatva transfers more motion than perfect Individuals who like the hug of memory foam may not feel the Saatva conforms closely enough The Saatva’s comfort system uses thinner layers of foam than numerous hybrid models. Instead, it uses an additional layer of springs within the
Note: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences below. We plan to evaluate the new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which may prove useful if you’re not sure what you choose or if your needs alter over time. This is not a traditionally soft mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I have actually talked to scores of experts in the bed mattress market and in materials science; visited dozens of bed mattress shops, showrooms, and factories; and pored over the fine print on specifications, warranties, and return policies.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. We do understand that the company utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column support”; we’re less amazed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and long lasting foams and coils.
