What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a good quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Factors to consider: Saatva Perfect Sleeper Hanaway Plush Mattress
The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill absorb some movement, minimizing how much movement is felt throughout the surface of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some motion transfer when their partner changes position or gets up during the night due to the mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva soaks up slightly more motion than the High-end Company and Company alternatives. While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving potential, the quantity of pressure relief that a private experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Luxurious Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and support from the Firm version.Keep in mind: Saatva recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions below. We prepare to check the new version soon and will update this guide with our impressions.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaAjJvmj8zoThe Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove practical if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs alter over time. This is not a conventionally soft bed mattress, however it provides a flexible cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own home. These mattresses were likewise assessed in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve interviewed ratings of professionals in the bed mattress industry and in products science; visited lots of mattress showrooms, shops, and factories; and pored over the small print on specs, service warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for numerous weeks.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. We do know that the company uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spine support”; we’re less impressed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and long lasting foams and coils.
