What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a great quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

People who are quickly awoken when their partner stirs might discover the Saatva transfers more motion than suitable People who like the hug of memory foam may not feel the Saatva adheres carefully adequate The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. Note: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the differences listed below. We prepare to check the new version quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is inherently long lasting. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which might show helpful if you’re uncertain what you choose or if your requirements change gradually. This is not a traditionally cushy bed mattress, but it uses a flexible cushion, good edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Provided its inherent sturdiness, the Zenhaven must work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own home. These mattresses were likewise examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of experts in the mattress market and in products science; gone to dozens of bed mattress showrooms, factories, and shops; and read the fine print on specifications, guarantees, and return policies. Most just recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for several weeks.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. However we do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (rather than fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spine assistance”; we’re less impressed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and long lasting foams and coils.
