What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva concentrates on direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under three brand: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Between these 3 brands, the company offers a number of bed mattress models, including the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Ideal for: Individuals with more particular firmness choices Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples searching for a mix of pressure relief and bounce A lot of online mattresses are foams or hybrids, so the Saatva Classic stands apart. It’s one of the few innerspring mattresses you can conveniently buy online. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva also provides a generous 180-day trial duration and simple returns.
Considerations: Saatva Mattress Manufacturing Locations
The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than numerous hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some movement, minimizing how much movement is felt throughout the surface of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some motion transfer when their partner changes position or gets up throughout the night due to the bed mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva absorbs a little more motion than the Luxury Firm and Firm choices. While all of the Saatva firmness choices have pressure-relieving potential, the quantity of pressure relief that a private experiences on the bed mattress will vary based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Plush Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and support from the Firm version.
Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences below. We prepare to test the new variation quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.

The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is inherently resilient. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might show valuable if you’re unsure what you prefer or if your requirements alter with time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, however it provides a flexible cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness. Given its natural resilience, the Zenhaven must work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.

For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I have actually interviewed ratings of experts in the mattress market and in products science; visited dozens of bed mattress display rooms, factories, and shops; and read the fine print on specs, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley assessed the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for several weeks.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less amazed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and resilient foams and coils.
