What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic an excellent amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.
Considerations: Saatva Mattress Bed Skirt
The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill soak up some motion, reducing how much movement is felt across the surface area of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some movement transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up during the night due to the mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva soaks up slightly more motion than the Luxury Company and Firm options. While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the bed mattress will vary based partially on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Plush Soft variation of the mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and support from the Company variation.
Keep in mind: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions below. We prepare to evaluate the new version soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which might prove useful if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs alter over time. This is not a traditionally soft bed mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, good edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
These bed mattress were also evaluated in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of experts in the mattress industry and in products science; gone to dozens of bed mattress display rooms, stores, and factories; and pored over the great print on specs, warranties, and return policies.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– numerous with a choice of firmness levels and accommodating practically every comfort choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Mattress Bed Skirt
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. But we do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (rather than chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva touts such bonus as zoned layers for “optimum spinal column support”; we’re less impressed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and resilient foams and coils.
