What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic a good quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

Keep in mind: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences listed below. We plan to evaluate the new version soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is fundamentally long lasting. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may prove practical if you’re not sure what you choose or if your needs change in time. This is not a conventionally soft bed mattress, however it provides a supple cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness. Provided its inherent durability, the Zenhaven needs to work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for a number of weeks in my own house. These bed mattress were also assessed in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I have actually spoken with scores of specialists in the bed mattress industry and in products science; checked out lots of mattress stores, showrooms, and factories; and read the small print on requirements, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for several weeks.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and dealing with practically every comfort choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Lofton Organic Sheets
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. But we do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (instead of chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column support”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and durable foams and coils.
