Founded in 2010, Saatva concentrates on direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under 3 brand: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Considerations: Saatva Full Size Mattress
The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some motion, lowering how much motion is felt across the surface area of the bed. Sleepers might still experience some movement transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up throughout the night due to the mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva soaks up a little more motion than the High-end Company and Company alternatives. While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving potential, the quantity of pressure relief that a specific experiences on the mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most press relief on the Luxurious Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Firm variation.
Note: Saatva recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions listed below. We prepare to check the brand-new variation quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is fundamentally resilient. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which might show valuable if you’re uncertain what you choose or if your requirements alter with time. This is not a conventionally soft mattress, however it offers a supple cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness. Given its innate resilience, the Zenhaven needs to work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for numerous weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of professionals in the bed mattress industry and in products science; visited lots of bed mattress showrooms, stores, and factories; and pored over the small print on specifications, warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for a number of weeks.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. But we do understand that the business utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (instead of chemicals or fiberglass) and just natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spine assistance”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and durable foams and coils.
