What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under three brand: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Between these three brand names, the company sells numerous bed mattress designs, including the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Perfect for: Individuals with more specific firmness preferences Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples searching for a mix of pressure relief and bounce A lot of online mattresses are hybrids or foams, so the Saatva Classic stands out. It’s one of the few innerspring bed mattress you can conveniently buy online. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a good quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. Likewise, similar to all of the Saatva Business’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva likewise provides a generous 180-day trial period and easy returns.

The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than numerous hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill soak up some movement, decreasing how much movement is felt throughout the surface of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some movement transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up during the night due to the mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva takes in slightly more motion than the Luxury Company and Company alternatives.
While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving capacity, the quantity of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Luxurious Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and assistance from the Company variation.
Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the distinctions below. We prepare to check the new version quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might prove practical if you’re not sure what you choose or if your needs change over time. This is not a traditionally soft mattress, but it uses a supple cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for a number of weeks in my own home. These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam mattresses and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of professionals in the bed mattress industry and in products science; visited dozens of mattress factories, shops, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on specifications, guarantees, and return policies. Most just recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley assessed the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for several weeks.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– numerous with a choice of firmness levels and catering to nearly every convenience choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Octaspring Sirocco Memory Foam Mattress
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid created for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brand names. But we do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (instead of fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such bonus as zoned layers for “ideal spine assistance”; we’re less pleased with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and resilient foams and coils.
