What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a good quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

When their partner stirs might discover the Saatva transfers more motion than perfect, people who are easily awoken People who like the hug of memory foam might not feel the Saatva adheres closely sufficient The Saatva’s comfort system utilizes thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid models. Instead, it utilizes an extra layer of springs within the
While all of the Saatva firmness choices have pressure-relieving potential, the quantity of pressure relief that a private experiences on the mattress will differ based partially on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most press relief on the Luxurious Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and support from the Firm variation.
Note: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences below. We plan to evaluate the brand-new version soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is fundamentally long lasting. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which may show valuable if you’re not exactly sure what you choose or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a conventionally cushy mattress, but it offers a flexible cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness. Provided its innate durability, the Zenhaven ought to work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of specialists in the bed mattress market and in materials science; checked out dozens of mattress shops, factories, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on specifications, warranties, and return policies.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. But we do know that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spine support”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
