What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under 3 brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

People who are quickly awoken when their partner stirs may find the Saatva transfers more movement than suitable People who like the hug of memory foam might not feel the Saatva conforms closely enough The Saatva’s comfort system utilizes thinner layers of foam than numerous hybrid models. Keep in mind: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions below. We prepare to evaluate the brand-new variation soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is intrinsically resilient. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove useful if you’re unsure what you prefer or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, however it offers a flexible cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Offered its inherent sturdiness, the Zenhaven must work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also examined in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam mattresses and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of professionals in the bed mattress market and in products science; gone to dozens of mattress factories, stores, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on specs, warranties, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for a number of weeks.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. We do know that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “optimum spine assistance”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and long lasting foams and coils.
