What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that a private experiences on the mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Plush Soft version of the mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and assistance from the Firm version.
Note: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions below. We plan to evaluate the new version soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is intrinsically durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might show practical if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your requirements change with time. This is not a traditionally soft bed mattress, but it offers a flexible cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Given its inherent sturdiness, the Zenhaven needs to work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. However we do know that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (instead of chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spine assistance”; we’re less impressed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and resilient foams and coils.
