Membership Class
To find out more about the church or to begin the membership process, join us on Sunday evening, September 27 at Pastor Jeremy's home from 5 - 7 pm. Wednesday Night Adult Classes
Wednesday evenings, starting September 23, we will have two opportunities for adults.
Financial Peace University - This nine-week class will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and more! Financial Peace University will be at 6:30 pm. iBelieve - Discover how to apply Theology to your life. We will go through the book, Bible Doctrine by Wayne Grudem. there are a number of topics we will cover including: The Trinity, The Authority of the Bible, and more! To register contact David Flug at: . Cost of the book is $20.

Asia Trip Funding
We are excited to send a team out November 6-16 to Asia for a short term mission trip. They need to raise $18,000 to go. So far they have raised $11,535. If this is something you feel called to support, please place checks in the offering bag with Asia Trip in the memo line.

Men's Canoe Trip
Men, join us for a canoe trip on September 19. We will meet at the church at 7 am and head up to the North Raccoon River. The cost is $20. Please bring your own lunch. There are only a few slots left, so contact David Flug at  as soon as possible to register!

Engage Global Weekend
In June our Sr High youth took a trip to Minneapolis with engage Global in order to learn more about different cultures and grow in their understanding of God's work in the world. This fall, we have an opportunity for adults to go on this same trip October 16 -18. The trip has openings for 20 people. Helping Others Through Benevolence
A key ministry to our church family and community is helping those in financial need. Each year, we assist many individuals and families by providing rent payments, gas cards, groceries, and other forms of assistance. Each need is vetted in a thorough process by our deacons. You can help support this ministry by contributing online at www.jefc.org or by writing "benevolence" on a check made out to JEFC. Thank you for helping those in need!

Women's Fall Bible Studies

Salvation Army Casseroles
Would you like to help feed the struggling and homeless in Des Moines? The Salvation Army serves hundreds of breakfast casseroles each month, two mornings a week, to the needy in Des Moines. Prepare and bake at home, bring to JEFC kitchen freezer. Pans and recipe provided. Just email Kathy at  to sing up for more information. Great small group or family project!
